Recording Your Session

Meta Quest devices offer the ability to take screenshots or record your session, making it extremely easy to share the immersive experience with other stakeholders in a project.

Take a screenshot

To take a screenshot from your Meta Quest Pro or Meta Quest 2 headset:

  1. Press and hold on your right controller, then pull the right trigger.
  2. A blinking red dot will appear in VR to indicate that a picture is being taken.

Once the picture is taken, you can select the notification that will appear to view your photo. You can also view photos you've taken in File Viewer.

Record your session

With Meta Quest, you can record video of what you see in VR. When you finish recording, your video will be saved in your Files App.

Start recording
  1. Press on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.
  2. Select Camera then select Record Video.
  3. Select the toggle next to Include Mic Audio if you want to include your microphone audio in the video, then select Start Recording.
Note: A red dot will appear in VR to indicate that recording has started. This video capture indicator can be controlled from Settings.
Stop recording
  1. Press on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.
  2. Select Camera then select Recording.
