Plan Upgrades and Downgrades

SketchUp offers a few different subscription options, each with their own benefits. SketchUp Go and SketchUp Pro offer both annual and monthly plan options. SketchUp Studio is available as an annual subscription. The Account Management Portal (AMP) provides the tools you need to help upgrade or downgrade your current plan to one that best fits your needs.

Tip: For more information on each SketchUp subscription plan, including features and pricing, see Plans and Pricing.

Annual SketchUp Plan Upgrades

When upgrading from one annual subscription plan to another, a prorated amount from the original plan will be applied to the cost of the upgraded plan based on the term date. This prorated amount appears during checkout. The upgraded product will be available immediately after purchase. If the new subscription benefits aren’t immediately available, please logout and log back in.

For more detailed instructions on how to change plans, see Changing Your Subscription Plan in Plan Management.

Annual SketchUp Plan Downgrades

When downgrading an annual subscription to another annual or monthly subscription plan, make sure auto-renew is on. Downgrades only take effect after the end of the current subscription period. On the auto-renew date, the plan will renew using the new downgraded plan's price. Changing from an annual plan to a monthly plan should only be done at the end of the annual subscription.

For more detailed instructions on how to change plans, see Changing Your Subscription Plan in Plan Management.

Monthly SketchUp Plan Upgrades and Downgrades

Monthly to Annual

To upgrade from a monthly plan to an annual plan, the account owner must turn off auto-renew for the current monthly plan and purchase a new annual subscription from the Plans and Pricing page.

For more detailed instructions on how to change plans, see Changing Your Subscription Plan in Plan Management.

Monthly to Monthly

To upgrade or downgrade from a monthly SketchUp Go plan to a monthly SketchUp Pro plan, the account owner can do so under Plan Settings and select the new plan.

If upgrading from SketchUp Go to Pro, the new Sketchup Pro subscription will be prorated for the rest of the month and begin immediately.

When downgrading from SketchUp Pro to Go, subscribers can continue to use Pro features until the end of the subscription term. The new Go plan will take effect at the beginning of the next month.
