The Trimble Connect 3D Viewer

Note: This page covers some basics to help you start using the 3D Viewer in Trimble Connect. For more detailed information about using the 3D Viewer see Trimble Connect for Browser's 3D Viewer User Guide in the Trimble Connect Knowledge Center.

Trimble Connect’s 3D Viewer allows you to view your files within Connect. This means you can access and view your SketchUp files from almost any device without having to download SketchUp. The 3D Viewer can also help you create views, add markups, and even overlay files saved to the same project.

You can open a model from the Explorer tab or by selecting 3D on the Projects page. The 3D Viewer has several tools and options to create views, demonstrate measurements, or even hide grouped geometry. Any change you make in the 3D Viewer is only saved in Trimble Connect and will not make any changes to the file you are viewing. See Views in the Trimble Connect Knowledge Center for more information.

3D Viewer has an overlay feature, allowing you to load multiple files into the Viewer at the same time.

This can be great for if you have a larger model you have broken up into multiple smaller files and need to combine those files to show the completed model. See Loading & Unloading Models in the Trimble Connect Knowledge Center for more information.
