• Note: This page covers some basics to help you start using the 3D Viewer in Trimble Connect. For more detailed information about using the 3D Viewer see Trimble Connect for Browser's 3D Viewer User Guide in the Trimble Connect Knowledge Center.  Trimble Connect’s 3D Viewer allows you to view your files within Connect. This means you can access and view your SketchUp files from almost any device without having to download SketchUp.

  • Trimble Connect and SketchUp for iPad are fully integrated. You can choose to save any SketchUp files created or edited in SketchUp for iPad in Trimble Connect instead of saving them locally. 

  • SketchUp for Web is designed to work with Trimble Connect. Unless you choose to save a file locally, all files you create with SketchUp for Web save to Trimble Connect.  Accessing Files The Home tab in SketchUp for Web will always show the most recently used files. All files saved to Trimble Connect appear with the Connect icon on its tile in tile mode or next to its listing in list mode. 

  • Trimble Connect and SketchUp work together to help you access and modify cloud-based models. When you save a model to Trimble Connect from SketchUp for Desktop, changes are saved and available to teammates or other stakeholders who access that file through Trimble Connect. This means your teammates and stakeholders can view or modify   your models across all flavors of SketchUp! 

  • Trimble Connect and SketchUp work together to help you access your models across multiple devices and platforms. How SketchUp interacts with Trimble Connect depends on which version of SketchUp you are using.   • A few things happen the first time you login to Trimble Connect. First, a prompt appears asking you to set up your Trimble Connect profile.  You can fill out any of these fields right now, or can fill them in later. Clicking continue will open the Projects page.
