Each product license is intended for use by a single named user, a real person using their first name, last name, and email address, for the duration of the subscription term. The person using a license must match the person assigned to that license when purchasing or renewing a subscription. Single named-user licenses cannot be transferred to another user, but can be updated at specific times. For details, see the Trimble User Assignment and Device Management Policy.
Users can install a Classic License on up to two devices. Only one device at a time can run that specific version using that license. Follow these steps to use your license on another device or transfer a Classic License to a new one:
- Remove your Classic License from a device you aren’t using by following the steps in Authorizing or Removing a License.
- Install SketchUp on the new computer. Visit the download page for links to supported versions of SketchUp.
- To authorize the license on the new device, follow the instructions provided at Authorizing a Classic License..
Note: You can no longer authorize SketchUp through Classic Licenses that can be used with SketchUp 2017 and older SketchUp versions. These versions are no longer supported. For more information, see SketchUp’s End of Support Policy.
