Positioning Textures
After you apply a material with an image texture to one or more faces in a 3D model, you can adjust how that texture displays on a face.
To change the position of a texture, context click the face with the material and select Texture > Position.

A grid appears distinguishing multiple tiles of the image texture. Each of the four colored pins manipulates the texture in a different way:
- The green pin scales or rotates. Most of the time you will be using the green pin to fine-tune the scale of a texture or make sure it is oriented in the right direction.
- The red pin moves.
- The blue pin scales or shears.
- The yellow pin distorts.
Drag each pin to change the position of the texture. Right click on the grid for transformation options like flip, rotate, reset, and Free Pin mode, or to exit. When you are finished, you can click anywhere outside of the grid.

If you switch to Free Pin mode, the pins turn white and can be moved to adjust the corners of the texture, allowing to directly scale the texture swatch to geometry in a model. For instance, you can use free pins to scale a picture of a door directly to the four corners of a door in a model.
