Managing and Organizing Materials

The Materials panel provides options to help you find and organize materials.

Note: The Colors panel on MacOS provides the same options listed here. For more information about navigating the Colors panel, see Navigating the Materials Panel.

The drop-down menu on the Select tab (Texture Palettes on MacOS) contains a variety of default materials. To help you find the type of material that best fits your design, these materials are grouped into collections. All default materials are capable of using photoreal texture maps.

If you want to see materials used in your current model, select In Model from the list or click Home ().

You can create a collection for a specific project, custom materials that you create, a specific color scheme, themes, and more. On the Select tab, click the Details arrow ()

Tip: Need to move a material from one collection to another? Click in the edit tab to open a secondary selection pane.

To add a frequently used collection to your favorites, go to the Select tab, click Details ()
