How can I change my subscription plan?
You can change your subscription plan in the Admin Console. See Plan Management for more information.
If I change to a lower subscription tier, do I get a refund for the time left on my existing plan?
No. If you downgrade your subscription plan, your new plan will take effect at the end of your current subscription term. You can continue to use the features included in your current plan until the end of the term. If you placed a new order for a lower subscription tier instead of downgrading your existing plan, you will have access to both plans immediately. Make sure to turn off auto-renew for the unwanted plan.
How will I be charged when upgrading to a higher tier subscription plan?
When upgrading from one annual subscription plan to another one with more features, a prorated amount from the original plan will be applied to the cost of the upgraded plan based on the term date. This prorated amount appears during checkout. The features from your new subscription will be available immediately after purchase. If the new subscription benefits aren’t immediately available, logout and log back in.
When do I lose access to the subscription features of a higher tier plan when changing to a lower tier plan?
You will lose access to any features of a higher tier plan once the new subscription takes effect, at the end of your current subscription term
When can I access new subscription features when changing to a higher tier plan?
After upgrading to a higher subscription tier, logout of all instances of SketchUp and log back in. You can then access all of your new features. Some SketchUp Studio features, like Scan Essentials or V-Ray, need to be installed separately. In those instances, reinstall SketchUp and choose to install those features using the Windows Common Installer.
Do I need to cancel my subscription to upgrade or downgrade to a different plan?
No, as long as you made changes to your existing plan through the Admin Console and did not purchase a new license, any upgrades or downgrades will carry through at the time of renewal.
If I have multiple licenses can I upgrade or downgrade just one?
Not at this time. If you have multiple licenses for the same subscription plan, all must be upgraded or downgraded together. To make partial plan changes, turn off auto-renew and then place a new order when your existing subscription expires.
