Licensing for SketchUp 2014 and Earlier

If you use SketchUp Pro 2014 or earlier, your license has a few restrictions that don’t apply to newer versions of SketchUp.

Under the old licensing model, licenses work as follows:

  • Your license works for Microsoft Windows or Mac OS X, but not both.
  • Your SketchUp software handles your license administration, whereas the new model is cloud-based.
  • Network licenses cannot be checked in and out.
