When you export a document as a series of images, LayOut exports each document page as a separate image file, in either .jpg
or .png
format. To export as a series of images, follow these steps:
- Click File > Export. The Export dialog will appear.
- Navigate to the location where you want to save your images and name your file. The name you choose will be used for each image in the series, followed by a page number.
- Using the Save As Type dropdown, select JPG or PNG.
Click Save. The Export Options dialog appears.
Note: In MacOS, an Options button is available in the Export dialog. Click Options if you want to change any settings before importing your document as image files. After changing any options, clicking OK returns you to the Export dialog.- Under Pages, select All to export all pages or Range to export pages based on values you type in the box provided. Include Page Name in File Name is selected by default. If you don’t want to include the name of the page, uncheck this box.
- Under Size you can enter values for a custom Width, Height, or Resolution. When changing one value, the others will change to maintain the aspect ratio. If you want a truly custom aspect ratio, click the unlink icon on the right, allowing you to determine each value independently.
- By default, your exported images open in your default image viewer. Deselect the Show Export in Image Viewer checkbox if you don’t want to immediately open your images after exporting them.
- Click Export.
