Clearing Geolocation DataYou can clear geolocation data from your model at any time from either Add Location or Model Info.Clearing Data Using Add LocationTo clear data using Add Location:
A model must contain geolocation data before adding site context. See Geolocation in SketchUp if you still need to geolocate your model. When you open Add Location in a geolocated model the geolocation data will already be there.Click Import Context to continue to Add Site Context.
To get started with Add Location, select File > Add Location from the Menu bar.Another way to open Add Location is in Model Info. From the menu bar click Window > Model Info. Select Geo-location from the options on the left of the window and click Add Location.
The first page you see when launching Add Location is Geolocate Model. Begin by narrowing down your location. Add Location will use your current location by default. You can specify a specific address, zip code, or location name in the box provided. As you type, SketchUp offers suggestions that match what you entered.

With SketchUp's Shadows feature, you can make your model cast a basic shadow or see how the sun casts shadows on or around a geolocated model. With Shadows you can get a general idea of how the sun or shadows will look in a specific location at a specific time of day.
