SketchUp Viewer System Requirements
Like many computer programs, SketchUp Viewers will only run or will run better on some configurations. To help ensure you have the best experience using the SketchUp Viewer for your desired platforms we've tried to distill what each platform needs.
To use your license with SketchUp Viewers you must have internet access and be signed in to your Trimble ID.
For Apple iOS
- Required - Minimum Specifications (Standard Viewing)
- iOS 10.0 or later.
- OpenGL ES 3.0
- Compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch
- Recommended Specifications (Standard Viewing)
- iOS 11.0 or later.
- 1024 Mb of RAM
- Retina iPad or newer.
- iPhone 5 or newer.
- Required Specifications (AR Model Viewing)
- iOS 11.0 or later.
- ARKit enabled Device
- iPhone 6s or newer.
- 2017 iPad or newer.
- Any iPad Pro
- Supported Languages: English, Czech, Dutch, French, Hungarian, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Traditional Chinese.
For Google Android
- Required Minimum Specifications (Standard Model Viewing)
- Android 6.0 or later.
- OpenGL ES 3.0.
- Compatible with Android phones and tablets.
- Recommended Specifications (Standard Model Viewing)
- Android 6.0.1 or later.
- 2048Mb of RAM.
- A 4.95"+ and 1080p+ display.
- Nexus 5 or newer phones, Nexus 7 (2013) or newer tablets.
- Required Specs (AR Model Viewing)
- Android 7.0 or later.
- ARCore enabled device (visit developers.google.com for a complete list of ARCore enabled devices).
- Supported languages: English, Czech, Dutch, French, Hungarian, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Traditional Chinese.
For Microsoft Hololens
- Required Minimum Specifications
- Windows 10 Creators Update running on HoloLens (Version 1703).
- Supported languages: English, Czech, Dutch, French, Hungarian, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Traditional Chinese.
For Virtual Reality
- Required Minimum Specifications
- Windows 10 Fall Creators update (Released October 2017).
- Hardware requirements:
- Intel Core i5 7200U (7th generation mobile) equivalent
- Integrated Intel® HD Graphics 620 (GT2) equivalent or better(DX12 API Capable GPU)
- 8 GB RAM
- 100 MB of free disk space to install SketchUp Viewer
- Recommended Specifications
- Windows 10 Fall Creators update (Released October 2017)
- Hardware requirements:
- Intel Core i5 4590 (4th generation/AMD Ryzen 5 1400 equivalent or better
- NVIDIA GeForce 1060/ AMD RX 470 equivalent or better (DX12 API Capable GPU)
- 8 GB RAM
- 100 MB of free disk space to install SketchUp Viewer
- To check if your PC is ready to run SketchUp Viewer on a Windows Mixed Reality device, you can run the Mixed reality PC check app from the Microsoft store.
For HTC Vive
- Required Minimum Specifications
- Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1 or later, Windows 10
- Hardware requirements:
- Intel Core i5-4590/AMD FX 8350 or equivalent
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970/ AMD Radeon R9 290 or equivalent

- Intel Core i5-4590/AMD Ryzen 5 1500X equivalent or better
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060/ AMD Radeon RX 480 equivalent or better

Note: In order for the multi-user collaborative viewing features to function properly, your network will need to be configured to allow UDP ports 5055, 5056, 5058.
